Default Best comp ratio for Zetec Turbo

Whats the best compression ratio for a zetec turbo going to be ordering my new pistons and rods soon !

Cars going to be around the 400hp mark maybe a touch over running at gt3071

What are other people with this power running compression wise?

Also after some top feed injectors for omex to suit the above power level any one no of any off the shelf that woul be suitable

Mine's built for 8.5:1, which seems to work really well for drivability and torque. Same sort of spec as yours.

no need for mega low CR's on that sort of power, i run 8.2:1 on mine with a gt3071r turbo, forged and cammed. no det noted so far, but not sure if i'm far off it as yet as i've always played it safe with timing.

i would say anywhere from 8 to 8.5 would suit you well and are you still going to use vaux rod length as you liked the way the power was delivered

I was going to use forged z20let pistons on my old engine mate as I did love the way the power came in, but I sold that to my mate whos putting it in a mk1 fez

Soo I'm starting from scratch again but my old engine was 7:4.1 comp ratio

There is no reason at all to run compression ratio in the 7's unless one wants to run 30+ psi boost on pump gas.
8.5:1 is a comfortable ratio. With bigger cams 9:1
