Default MegaSquirt & PINTO questions

Hello
I have a Ford Sierra 88 I put a 2.0 PINTO 205 [injection head]

https://passionford.com/forum/restor...storation.html

I want to start it now EFI,
I bought manifold EFI and EFI's distributor,
I need:
Fuel Pump
Fuel pressure regulator
Injectors
And sensors
wire loom I'll make myself

I want to run MEGASQUIRT 3.0 and have some questions

I would also have ignition module "TFI"? Or I could connect the coil and distributor straight to the ECU directly?

Can I find [here or anywhere] fuel and ignition maps ready to prevent this? I do not know direct

Yes all of the MS ecu's will allow you to run with a dizzy . It's somthing you'll need to specify to your builder when you order .
It's best that you join one of the DIYEFI r megasquirt forum's as there's some base map's avalible there to get you started . However i would advise you to change to wasted spark and as a add an EDIS 4 unit to your to buy list . Can i ask why you've chosen MS3 ? MS2 is more than capable and there;s an awful lot more support avalible for it as . Also i'm not sure if there's a stable code avalible as yet .

ms2 better than ms3?
And I want to know if distributor and coil alone are enough for me. Or should I tfi ignition module?
I want to stay with the original ignition system.

What about maps? There are basic maps that I could start with? Msq files I could download? I can not find online I need help in search

Tnx

I would stick with ms 2 with the extra code .

Yes you will be fine running with a dizzy and coil if you wish.
Perhaps no one has a base map for download for a pinto but i very much doubt it .
Join www.msefi.com there a very helpful bunch . Also serch there forum and im sure someone will have a fuel and spark table for you to start with . You must be aware that these are only to help you get your engine running and u will have to alter these to suit your own needs and engine spec. Also have you got a good quality wide band lambda gauge as this is a must for safe engine tuning really .

As long as the coil can provide a strong enough spark yes. Dizzy wize i would stick to a pinto.
