Default Advice needed! Body shop/sprayers

I was given this

mipa corrosion sealer

I'm using it to treat a few small rust areas under the car, I will grind back to bare metal as much as possible and then brush on two coats of the above followed by mipa etch-filler HB primer and then some wax oil stone chip, Is this OK!

also is it OK if the mipa corrosion sealer goes onto the other bare metal surfaces and the surrounding primed areas?

Cheers in advance

You may be able to get the data sheet if they have a website, that should give you all the application data

The local motor paint factors recommended it to me, it is a watery clear liquid meant to seal the rust never to return again Ha! Ha!
"of course it won't"

It better be good at Ł20 a pop for 500ml

I'm going to remove as much rust as I can grinding back to bare metal where possible, de-grease then apply the corrosion sealer then a couple of coats of the etch primer followed by a light Grey top coat, as this is probably less porous than a primer to put a wax oil stone chip on top of,
does all this sound OK or is it a bit overkill, also is one liberal coat of the mipa corrosion sealer enough?

A lot of good stuff has been said about epoxy Mastic paint, maybe get that as a primer over it to be double sure

the only stuff ive used which has 100% stopped rust creeping and coming back is por15 from here

http://www.frost.co.uk/automotive-pa...int-473ml.html

ive painted many things with it and never had rust come back, one of those was the back panel on my mk2 escort while in storage. i bare metalled the backpanel,( tho you can paint this over rust) and painted it, i didnt touch the bottoms of the rear quarters either side of the backpanel which were covered in surface rust. the car then sat for 5 years in my garage at home with a leaky roof and bad damp and the rust never crept to the backpanel not even by a millimetre yet the bottoms of the quarters have now rusted through and need welding

they dont paint the bottom of boats and the stantions holding oil rigs up with this stuff for no good reason!

Only thing I would never do is add a wax oil stone chip
As that's shuntz stick with just a good stop chip then
A coat of clear wax oil separate
