Hi all my mates asked me if I can fit a dump valve he's bought for his golf over the weekend, now iirc i remember someone saying they can't be fitted to post 2000 vehicles as it throws up some fault codes, does anyone know if this is true or have i remembered wrong?

 

If its a recirc valve they are pretty much a direct replacement if it's a noisy dump valve it will cause problems.

As my mate found out on his, it'll work, make the car seem more laggy, slower and then after two weeks it wouldn't even run.

 

i ditched the dv on my 20v turbo, awesome chatter, wasn't laggy and did over 40k and no probs with turbo seals.

the best dv to run on these is the forge 007p

 

Only run a recirc on these as if you fit an atmospheric dv you dump already metered air which causes overfueling problems.
