OK, got to put some on my Mondeo as going to Europe. There are instructions with them which are as clear as mud. In layman's terms, where about do they go ?
Cheers !
Cheers !
Not sure which Mk Mondeo you have but if the lenses are completely clear, you should check the handbook because some newer cars have a switch on the back of the lights to convert the beams, or it will tell you where to put the stickies.
When you look at the lens, if there are lines, these will guide the position of the converters.

Seems it might only be the Xenons that get the switch. Have a look in the handbook for the position.
You are trying to block the light that normally shines on the left hand kerb, as that will be aimed at oncoming drivers abroad. Worst case, park in front of a wall, put the dipped beam lights on and move your hand around in front of the lights to identify the bit of the lenses to cover.
Don't give the French an excuse to stop you, and don't forget all the other stuff they insist on, including 2 approved breathalysers, bulbs, warning triangle, V5, insurance certificate, driving licence and MOT, and hi-vis vests in the cabin, not the boot (is it one for everyone in the car or is that Spain?).

Cheers Iain - will give that a go !
I've got everything else they insist on, all the car papers together so on that front I'm good to go ! Yes, it's one vest per passenger (only two of us but I've got four !)

Mr Iain....the breathalyser thing doesnt come into effect until 1st November!!
And its 1 x hi vis vest for every seat in the vehicle, 2 x warning triangles and you need a "GB" sticker too!

And france used to be 1 x triangle 20metres from the rear of the car then 2x hi vis vests Spain was 4 x hi vis vests and 2 x triangles...1st 20 metres away, the next 20metres from the 1st triangle. So because of many cross border journeys from the midi pyrenees to catalonia, andorra or the basque region, the french changed their law to 2 x triangles and 1 hi vis for every seat in the vehicle!!
I lived in Toulouse for 2 yrs, didnt know aboyt the change in the law and got nailed and fined by the Gendarmarie €90 fs!!!
Going back to Toulouse on 14th september until start of Dec, so read up on any changes to the law regarding motoring!!
