Talking Sierra Sapphire Cosworth Replica 2.0 DOHC

Cosworth kit
Drilled and grooved discs
Cossie rear axle with Lsd (so rear disc set up)
Cossie interior
Fancy stereo system
Full Power flow system
Momo steering wheel
Remote central locking with Cat 1 alarm
I think it has Koni adjustable shocks aswell
Underneath looks very tidy indeed all the main areas are spot on
What a posotive change from the fez!! it feels so solid while driving with absolutely no rattles, squeekes its sooo great.
Here she is an absolute beautey, very lovely car to drive so sadly the fez is taking a back seat for now (no more money to be spent on the fez )
I just had to remove that splitter from the front bumper as it wouldn't go over bumps, inclines etc

Fully refurbed wheels with new tyres

First of all remove the badges. The exhaust was from Demon Tweeks in May and tbh its incredibley loud only one has the back box the rest is a straight through stainless.

Lovely leather Recaro soooo comftable. Momo steering wheel

Not everyones cup of tea (paint brush splash type thing) apart from that the engine is mint recent rebuild along with clutch, gear box and diff.

i noticed the car temp gauge was always slightly high so straight away look at the wiring on the fans, what a f*cking mess it wasnt even connected. There was a wire from the earth on the battery connecting to the fans wiring then went all the way over the wing into the drivers foot well and not connected to anything, then there was a live wire from the battery over the wing aswell and in the same place as the earth and one wire was burnt f*cking numptys. So basically fans not connected at all.

From that to this, the original wiring was just cut for both fans for some reason. All spot on now atleast.

Heres the nice little stereo that came with the car, Flip screen dvd player (only Ripspeed but does the job) and its got a huge 15" sub and some sort of 1000watt amp in the boot.

had a look underneath and all is very good (ALL THE COMMON AREAS ARE SPOT ON FOR NOW ATLEAST), only slight surface rust at the back so after a quick wire brush, etch primer and undersealer its now spot on just need to finish the rest . The MOT is in October so it may need the rear bushes doing #-o apart from that it is all good up front, the brakes are brilliant but needs both front hoses so might get braided if i can find out what calipers are on the car (dunno if they are cossie ones)
Thats the only silencer so its very fecking loud just hope the emissions will be ok.

Thats all for now, most of the next pics will be on Sundays mainly. Just undersealing, new springs all round, small amount of bodywork (proffessional job shortly) and mot next month so might need some poly bushes at the rear.

Comment welcome. Any advice on getting the ECU chipped or performance parts??

On the look out for dry storage which is proving difficult
Future plans for spare time, Zetec for when i can afford to insure/run 2 cars which hopefully will be 5 years so long term project to start with but who knows (definately WILL NOT be selling it though) i couldnt deal with the regret of selling

Ye the wheels are nice but too wide if ur car is lowered, my front wings are a mess as on full lock up a small kurb into my garden the tyres keep smashing the wing then again my springs are chopped but dunno by how much (previous owner)
on the look out for an nice set of 7x17's

paid £2700 for the car so pretty much half the price of a proper cossie BUT that price was probily a little high tbh, much cheaper ones do come up but saw this one and it was perfect so had to have it.

Looks a nice car mate, but you were robbed paying that much for it!

And you wont get 150bhp out a twincam by just chipping it.

After a quick wash she look like this mmmmmmm
To say the previous owner was an auto electrician he didn't do a good job on this, first of all the messy dodgey fan wiring which was a fire hazard, stereo wiring was playing up last week and today i found the headlight wiring was a right mess. HID 8000k bulbs which were too blue for me and they wasn't sat right so fixed the wiring and fitted 4300k bulbs for now and will change them next month for the mot. Apart from that the car runs absolutely mint.

My other motor, this will very slowly become a zetec

Little ding when the tyre hits the wing on full lock, this will be done professionally along with a few more little defects.

dont get rid of the fiesta you will only do what im doing with the sapphire and start all over again later, i had all the bits to make mine a nice rep full cloth recaros already fitted a rebuilt cvh and 18" wheels with new tyres only paid £600 for it with a long TnT but panicked about only needing one car sold it for £400 to my mates little brother and he lost interest its now in a breakers, paid more for the base car with no trick bits fitted this time but im not quitting on this one, just keep plodding along with them both the fiesta costs you nothing whilst its off the road and you can be frugal with spending on it just buy bits when they come up at low prices someone is always skint, send me a pm with what you need for the fez and i will keep my eyes open for you.
cheers steve

from the pics it looks like the rear beam is bent on your fiesta as it appears to be running positive camber on the rear wheels

funny you should bring this up.
As literally an hour ago i smashed my Sierra straight into a curb and the rear beam seems bent to me For about 3 days the car felt a little soft at the back end but dont really thing this had out to do with it tbh, maybe because it was wet but saying that it was half 10 at night and was taking it easy so dunno
I was going about 40mph ish and the back end stepped out and before i know it the cars bouncing of the curb, fucking kissed it twice weaving about on the duel carridgeway fucked up man i had to limp home as the car was crabbing and has a popped tyre.
pics here. Any help is much appriciated, what parts you think will need replacing etc.

Front wheel, this looks light but the steering wheel is now a mile out

The tyre is rubbing on inner wing and the alloy is fucked

This is the main pic to show the damage. whats parts am i looking at needing.

You may well find that you need to replace more bits. It may look Ok, but could still be bent. There are a lot of things connected to the wheels, and it's not unusual to find that the damage has had a knock on effect of other components.

Also, seeing as you pay £4K to insure it, why not just claim?
