Not that clever lol. I cn do wiring an mechanics body work is a no go. got a solid shell so guna jus keep it front wheel drive, but zetec turbo can become expensive with gettin it all fitting right as zvh is mre aless a cvh so fits easy.

I would go EFi CVH from a FRST, MFI is a pain in the ass! That way you can alway convert to ZVH and mega squirt at a later date.

Another idea is to drop in a zetec turbo from a mk1 focus RS. I would advise in investing in a good mtx75 box, I broke loads in my ERST. By a five speed diesel box and have it rebuilt with a slipper put in it.

Get some pics up!

ZT All the way, why use the unreliable CVH head/cams that are notorious for falling apart these days?? lol

why even consider a zvh, been there years back and no way i'd do it again.
cvh bottom end was strong and head was weak in terms of design flaws.
zetec turbo, forged bottom end and then stick some manifolds on and a decent turbo.
why not just go N/A, 2.3 duratec on bodies would produce some strong usable power if forged.

5k?

Sell your escort. Buy a Clio 182. Buy some R888's and some suspension. Job done.

Sure there is a lad on here selling an FRS engine with turbo and all ancillieries for around Ł1600, good buy. I would go zetec turbo mate, far more scope for higher power later on if you decide to upgrade.
