A chap on Pistonheads has had his beemer stolen, regularly spotted at high speed and also the scum have been on their facebook page uploading a pic of it in their possesion

surely if they are dumbfuck enough to put it on his own facebook page then it can be tracked through his IP and MAC address back to his computer and even the cameraphone he used to take the photo??

Or are they now that brazen that they just dont give a fuck as they know the CPS wont bother in many such car theft cases incase some expensive lawyer claims that somebody else must have taken the photo, used his computer and known his facebook password

I don't know any of the victoms so I'm not gonna go chasing little fucks for no reward, I feel for the people who have had there property broken in to for keys and cars stolen ect but untill it's mines or a mates car that gets stolen that's when I'll get my hands dirty. But saying that one of the guys who posted this up on Facebook earlier is quite handy so I'd imagine there out looking this now

Problem is there is usually not 100% convictable proof who did it. And even if there is the criminals background etc often means its "not in the public interest" or the likelyhood of any decent punnishment is low so they just dont bother doing anything about it.

And to be fair, most normal folk who get robbed wont be motivated to go after them in a vigilante style attack.
