Which CAM?
I have just picked up my 2.1 zvh conversion RST. It is currently MFI but i am looking to go EFI by xmas.
My old escort has a standard cam in but this one has a piper cam? I have heard that a newman? cam can be better than a standard cam? But wondering if anyone has any ideas/opinions?
Cheers

I agree with Karlos,
Newman solid lifter camshaft part number FORC/276/409T
They do have a hotter grind specifically for ZVH FORC/280/448T
However, I would use the first one as many have used it with success.
Cheers

No, direct from Newman mate.
Perry is advising to use the CVH cam instead of the ZVH one, but knowing how much more flow a 2.1 ZVH needs I would use the ZVH cam (the CVH one is very similair to a stock RST cam)... Unless you've spotted something I havent Perry?

Certainly one can put a longer duration camshaft in a bigger engine. The larger cam would possibly work better in a 2.1 if the cylinder head was also up to the task of flowing more air for the larger displacement.
Maybe someone else will chime in that has successfully used the larger ZVH Newman grind?
I do not recall ever seeing anyone using the larger ZVH cam.
Anyone? Love to see the results.
