The standard Ford RST cam is much lower duration than the Newman cam - not even close.
Certainly one can put a longer duration camshaft in a bigger engine. The larger cam would possibly work better in a 2.1 if the cylinder head was also up to the task of flowing more air for the larger displacement.
Maybe someone else will chime in that has successfully used the larger ZVH Newman grind?
I do not recall ever seeing anyone using the larger ZVH cam.
