Default xenon headlight resto

today i thought id tackle my xenons as they were in a bit of a state.

started by wet sanding using 1500 then 2000 then 2500 then 3000.could see by this point that they were looking very good.so machined them using 3m fast cut then refined with menzerna. gtechniq c4 was used to seal them then 2 coats of coli 476.im pleased with how they turned out.

here the pics

before-looking very faded and yellow

after wet sanding

finished

back on the car

dont be mate,take your time
i used the megs g220 da on them and it would take a lot to burn the plastic, just keep the machine moving

Quite new to all this forum stuff so bare with me.

Got a similar problem with the headlights on my ST170.

Got my head around the wet and dry stuff, but I'm unsure on the rest??

I'm guessing you need some kind of buffing machine to get the best results??

Also, you mention sealing the job.... Do you need some kind of gear for this???

Any help would be great if they end up like this

i used menzerna polish and hexlogic pads on a DA machine polisher.
i sealed mine with gtechniq c4,if you dont seal them then they will go yellow in no time.they need uv protection as your sanding the manufacturers uv protection off.
