hi just thought id start this to let you all see how my bonus turbo is getting on

so far. i got hold of this car about 2 months ago its a mk4 escort bonus that someone had fitted a 1.6 cvh turbo engine in the car itself is in good condition better than most rs,s if had the engine was dead (smoking blowing the oil cap off missfiring ect ) but that didnt worry me as i knew the engine was going to be scrapped anyway so the cvh was removed and scrapped had an old 2lt zetec in the work shop so have drilled all the holes needed fitted the water pump blocked the breather off blocked the oil ways then gota set of c20xe pistons for it.

now the engine is away at a mates place to have the zetec rods modded to fit the vauxhall pistons the block is being over bored the crank is being reground and l&b ed and knife edged and should be back soon

so i have set about sorting the engine bay for paint and the cosworth loom

these are some of the parts iv collected
for it so far also got a piper 285 t2 cam today
with solid lifters uprated valve springs and a adj pully
to go in the big valve head i took off my s1 about 10
years ago just need the bottom end bits back now so
i can get it all bolted together

 

if any one has a xr3i efi loom forsale im ya man

 

the car has had some progress since i last posted the engine bay had been fully stripped and painted black i was going to do it the same colour as the car but i like it black and its not going to be a show car so black it is i have had all the brackets and mounts powder coated blue and have managed to get hold of a xr3i efi loom and ofac ecu the loom is going to be fitted today. the engine is still at the builders but it is ready to be collected he has l&b the crank over bored the block and fitted vauxhall little end bushes in the zetec rods and fitted the c20xe pistons oh and also l&b the flywheel so im going to collect that on monday and get it all built up ready to fit.i will get some pics today while im at the workshop
