Are those figures what you would expect for that spec? Had mine rr there a couple of times both seemed to be up on hp down on torque.

i was hoping for 350+ it,s still a bit rich on full boost i think a better turbo would see a bit more power and its got a bit of lag

no boost under 3000rpm then the turbo just jump and the poweer clime almost strait up to 4000rpm and holds there ill poot the grath up if anyone wants to see it

Its all down to the mapping mate..thats a generic map compared to a live map..

Matts is awesome and the best you can expect from his spec although it wouldnt have as massive numbers on a dd rr it is still spot on with loads of torque..Id say the rpm scale was wrong etc ??

Yours should be no different when mapped correctly

just looked at matts graph again( and iv seen absolutely loads)and iv gotta say thats the most linear power graph iv ever seen for a yb turbo!!! normally they have a massive ramp and peak...nice mapping!!

cheers danny

Be nice to see it on a dd rr though to see how close the figs are as id say the rpm scale is out on that graph..

This wont effect the power and torque graph though and as iv said its very linear and i bet good fun??

Its lovly to drive and is abit of an animal when drive hard....Im also open minded to rr figures but the other cars made what they should so I'm hoping mine's not far off... I prefer how it drives to numbers tho... Here the video of what some of the others made to compare how the rr read.. I don't think it's out my much tbh

Mondeo st tdci... Decat and filter I think... 165
Megane remapped 265 iirc

Here's the video....

I doubt your lag is a mapping issue more a turbo/ cam issue

A few tweaks here and there and a couple of hours on a rr with a decent mapper could be all it needs mate and if all is running fine etc should be as good as matts..

yea but you wouldnt know how good matts was if it wasnt put on the rr..

Also its ok with a peaky lil t34 on the road with mapping but when you start getting over 500 ft lbs its very scary and hard to get as good as map as that with out some brown pants!!!lol..

Ive seen many a road map improved on the rr..its a very good tool imo

matts RR figures don't count as it wasn't the PF approved DD RR roflol
I spent 20 years with my own rolling roads
I wouldn't attempt to map a turbo car on one that was more that 250 bhp unless I was based in Siberia
a hub dyno is a different matter

I worked around 3 different rrs over a 10 year period too and can see where your coming from but then we got a dd rr and it was a diff ball game altogether..

You really should use one mate theyre a great tool and are so much easier than all them runs up and down the road!!!

You think you would save hours of time and would be giving out much cheaper bills!!!lol..
And your fri nights wont be as late??

With a good base chip of your own you could prob have a map finished to your stds in a couple of hours and safely too!!

How can a hub dyno be any better than the rr as its still in a dyno cell with the same sort of cooling etc??

Depends when it was built??

If it was all built up by joe a few years ago then id say essex turbos(which iv never liked)or if later then it would be vince but many people might get like the whole engine done or maybe just the bottom end or sometimes just have their own bits bolted on etc,so who knows??

it is that type of turbo
we will just strip it and see what it is as it is the lagiest t34 i have ever seen
it is like the op's lag
it's worse than a t4 with 7:1 and a pair of 14's and a sweedish plenum
