Default Anyone help me find out what i need for this ?

I am in the process of reassembling the car and have mislaid something.

The gearbox is an IB5 andt fits in the gearbox and comprises a lenght of metal about 3 inches long and there is also a spring.

I am trying to identify what it is and if someone has a spare sitting around they dont need.

It fits in this hole where there is a blank cover - does it actually do anything as i have a spare gearbox and there is not one in that gearbox

Hopefully someone can help

Pics of the place where the item fits ..........

Cheers - obviously i have the normal Series 2 reverse light switch fitted (see pic below) so essentially what you are saying is that i dont really need anything there then and its fine just being blanked off ??

Didn't even know the standard switch fitted, have you replaced the detent next to the 'blanked hole' with it?

But yes, just blank it. Mine has been blanked for quite some time.

Lol, sorry mate... I really thought you were talking about the part that fits under the blanking cover

Cheers for the reverse light switch though, i'll see if mine has a suitable hole.
