Default no power at heater control

my gauges are currently were my contyrols normally are for the heaters. after fitting a stack (mechanical) oil pressure gauge in place of the crappy electronic one ive lost powe.r to my other gauges. volts and water temp and they are now not working. assuming ive shorted something, can you tell me were the fuse is for the heater control? thanks

is the fuse in the fusebox or is it a relay? gone through the fuses and all appear intact.

You need to check you haven't knocked a common live loose while you have been working there, this would be likely seen as all of them have gone. That or the power feed has otherwise been lost, you first need a multimeter you can then start with basic tests, i.e. checking power and working backwards.

It is unlikely you have shorted anything seen, not only would it have been fairly obvious but the supply will be switched, in other words unless you had the ignition on at the time you were working there is no power present.

This is why with jobs that arn't directly related to electrics you should always disconnect the battery earth lead.

There is a legend on the back of the fusebox cover if ever you need to know a fuse location/number.

There won't be a relay for the blower supply.

In other words, I suspect you "Rigged" (Shorted) the live to ground, thus blowing the fuse?

Glad it's sorted.

almost. i initially blew a fuse changed it and got my dial lights to work again. in the process i had unplugged live and re connected it into a non existed connecter (not connected to anything). my + and - are taked off the 4 pin heater coonector. so only 2 out of 4 on the connector block power my volts/temp.
