Right then guys, its rebuild time 1st full rebuild ive had to do on my cos since ive had it ,which is 5 years now. just a few things i need to know. when buying bearings for the bottom end which ones do you recommend, is it worth doing anything with the crank i.e polish etc. will the liners be alright. the car has done 120k, also i want to know if it's worth buying new rods and pistons i want an engine capable of 500bhp if i ever go down that road. it's currently 380bhp, i basically want to build the engine properly so that i dont have to touch it again for a very very long time.

If your taliking cossie yb which i think you are id go for a full rebuild

Block to be bored with new pistons and machined for long stud kit ,rods rebushed,crank checked for tolerances,oil pump rebuilt or replaced.
Head fully rebuilt by niel roper or nick waples,new lifters and springs from newman cams with a trick inlet cam..around 11mm lift with 280 duration would do it,std exhaust cam for better pick up and big torque..
Inlet plenum spacer or even better hart plenum aswell as some 83lb injectors and with a good re map or even better a newer after market ecu and remap and you would have an engine capable of over 500 hp with the right turbo

yes its a saph 4x4 cos. will standard rods be fine for around 500bhp if i decide to go that far in the future.
