Default Escos colour change

Hi, if I do a full Resto on an escos but change the colour do you think it would effect the future vale?
The original colour is mallard.

Possibly, I'd say if you're looking for top $ when you do come to sell it it will be worth more in the original colour. If you're not worried about that then paint it any colour you like

Depends what colour , if it a standard escort colour you going to change it to I wouldn't bother but if going a non standard colour like gun metal grey , focus Rs green or orange or colour like that then do it

What colour. Mines orange and was originally white. I prefer it orange tbh. Possibly will effect value by a purist though. Also Mallard is one of the nicest colours!!

Yes it will have a negative effect on it's value, they will become a future classic without doubt .
On the other side if the coin tho you could just find a buyer that wants an esc cos in the colour you have painted it so it may not reduce its value, the Market will be smaller tho

I'm in a similar position, I hate the colour of mine and I'm thinking of selling it to buy a dark coloured one....

Get them wrapped, you can have any colour, it will protect the original paint while it's on and if someone wants it original, peel it off!
