Escos colour change
Hi, if I do a full Resto on an escos but change the colour do you think it would effect the future vale?
The original colour is mallard. |
Possibly, I'd say if you're looking for top $ when you do come to sell it it will be worth more in the original colour. If you're not worried about that then paint it any colour you like :king:
|
Depends what colour , if it a standard escort colour you going to change it to I wouldn't bother but if going a non standard colour like gun metal grey , focus Rs green or orange or colour like that then do it :top:

What colour. Mines orange and was originally white. I prefer it orange tbh. Possibly will effect value by a purist though. Also Mallard is one of the nicest colours!!

Yes it will have a negative effect on it's value, they will become a future classic without doubt .
On the other side if the coin tho you could just find a buyer that wants an esc cos in the colour you have painted it so it may not reduce its value, the Market will be smaller tho Steve |
Get it wrapped in the colour you want,
|
I'm in a similar position, I hate the colour of mine and I'm thinking of selling it to buy a dark coloured one....
|
Get them wrapped, you can have any colour, it will protect the original paint while it's on and if someone wants it original, peel it off! :top:
