don't bother with an rs2000 engine, they're an I4 engine not a zetec.
don't need much really, just get an ST170 engine, change headgasket for a thick multilayer zetec one. fit some arp's on the bottom and get a turbo strapped to it.
uprate the injectors and pick an inlet, sort out some management and get it mapped.
that's essentially it for budget build.

stay away from the I4 engine, just get a 2.0 zetec engine.
the ST will do decent power for little cost.
spend Ł3k and you end up with my engine, forged pistons, steel rods, area six cammed ported ex side of head with area six valve springs/retainers.

right so far I've got a set of dark green injectors,my mate has a cheap st170 engine (I'm hearing its best too use these as they have forged internals but even still do the internals need too be changed)? what head do i use (st170 head or blacktop head)? what headgasket? and do I need decomp plate? what inlet ,turbo combination do I use (is a frs one any good)? cheers Wes
