I wrapped mine with some tape and cut with it with a hacksaw.

I wrap where I want to cut and use an angle grinder with the thinnest (spelling?) metal cutting disk I could find.
Have tried many ways and non seem to work perfectly but find I get the best results with the above method.

An anle grinder blade, the thinner the better. Dont use a hammer and chissle, there are a few guides on the internet that tell you to use a sharp chissle and hammer through it, if you do it splits the sides of the teflon when it mashes it down before it cuts through it no matter how sharp, hard or fast you hit it.

Me too! I've heard using a grinder is pretty effective and obviously less time comsuming, you're probably more likely to get a clean cut and less fraying as well.

+1 on the thin cutting blade with tape wrapped round to try and prevent fraying!

A chisel? On a metal braided hose?? Some people should not be let near tools.

Get a cutting disc on a little 4" grinder and tape up where you want to cut and it will come out perfect.

Use your teeth - save the chisel!!

If that fails the grinder is the next best option works every time.

I work for Goodridge and its usually cut on a saw with a super sharp thin metal blade. When i have to make lines up away from work i always wrap it with masking tape and use the thinnest cutting disc i can find in an angle grinder as others have said. That is the next best way in my opinion

Although maybe i should do it properly and get a huge great chisel and a big hammer
