I've had my 1.8 zvh RS Turbo for a few months now and hardly driven it.

Headgasket went the day after buying it, battery kept draining, wheel bearing started humming etc. I have fixed these issues and was just about to go have it set up, and water has got into the metering unit via the filter and hydrolocked it. Gutted.

So now I am at a junction and I just dont know what to do:-

1. Get a spare block, use the rods/pistons/crank and put them in the old block
2. Get a spare block and send to machine shop for oil galleries and breathers putting in
3. Pick up a standard CVH full engine and put that in.

The first option would be cheapest, but I am unsure on this.

The other two will cost about the same.
