Default Who's running a RWD diff in a 4x4?

I'm aware you need to cut the diff casing or modify the beam, thats cool enough, but the output flanges are different.
So.... do i need the whole driveshaft including the outer cv as well or can i mate the 2wd inner cv/flange to the rest of the 4x4 shaft?

Can't help with your Q's but Won't the diff ratio mean the rear wheels will be turning faster/slower than the front?

Not an issue as the ratios are about .01 out so it's almost irrelevant IIRC.

I would think easiest option is to fit a 2wd rear beam and 2 wd shafts, best sticking the 4wd rear brakes on though as they are vented.

Change the driveshafts and drive flanges on the hubs for 2wd stuff and it'll be fine.

I'm not changing the hubs, the offset will end up being all be wrong, hence why I just want to change as little as possible.

i've just put 7.5 in the back of mine, albeit now rwd, but its still 4x4 hubs and everything,
you need....
2wd diff
2wd beam
2wd shafts
2wd output joints,
it all then bolts up fine, the 2wd outputs bolt into the 4x4 hubs.

I was talking to someone earlier who suggested I swap the ouput flanges but I didn't know if that was possible, so are you saying it is?
Wong, what is an "output joint"
If you're saying that complete 2WD shaft will go into 4x4 rear hub then all I will need is the diff and both shafts.

Easiest way is stick the entire 2wd beam in, as an assembly.

Next easiest way is to transfer the diff with the entire driveshafts, inc stubs as they go straight into the 4x4 rear hubs.
