My Falcon XR6 turbo play about
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ansco/Ford.jpg
So there i am happy with my falcon when i decided to change the little nut filter for supplying oil ro the turbo.
A little over tighten resulted in this mess.

Cracked block area in 3 places on the thread.
Tried to fix it with autoweld but never worked.
Decided it was too much hassle to weld so ordered a forged block from OZ.
Ready to strip

A little head clean up

Block getting prepped.

An expensive lesson on why not to over torque a simple fitting.

You drive this daily between Aberdeen and Falkirk?!
You've either got a company fuel card, are earning an extremely tidy salary or are insane...
Look forward to the progress/videos of it up and running.

I had one of these (saloon) off Ford for a week... one of the best road cars I've ever driven and so much fun. Would much rather spend £20,000 on one of these as a quick useable road car than any Cossie / BMW etc you could mention.
Just mega!
