When i had my s1 there was a supplimentary workshop manual you could buy that had full wiring diagramms in it. Always a stand at the shows that sell it. Otherwise as the coswoth ones you can normally pick them up on ebay for peanuts. Sold mine for Ł40 10 years ago and bought a cosworth one handy as fook

 

Thats a mk4 shell with mk3 parts fitted. The round hole on the left iner wing is for the windscreen washer bottle that goes inside the wing on the mk4 only.
