they get sold on again. most parts can be recon if needed like engine ect but once the airframe has reached its total amount of flying hours its scrapped.
Probably 20+ million pounds worth of bits off that aircraft. engines are 6 million each!

that took 3 weeks to get to that stage, but the undercarriage is still to come off that will take 2-4 days in the next week or so, but that was at that place out the way.
in a hanger with all the rules and regs that would have taken months
for example there you could remove parts in a day there that in a hanger would be quoted a weeks work lol

depends on the job too sometimes a company will just buy a aircraft for certain bits engines undercarriage ect, the next job down at brunters is a 737 and apparently thats having noting taken from the cabin so they could be a chance but unless you there at the time they just get scrapped too.
storage unit and trolleys sell so they keep them coz they get damaged often so theres a demand for replacement bits, the coolest bit i got is the crash axe but i bet the plod wouldnt take kindly to it.

Wow I would love to do something like that, How did you get into that if you dont mind me asking?
Pics look awesome, always saddens me to see things like this being broken up
Its like that old British electric lightning (?) sat at the side of the A1 i think, been there for years rotting and getting covered in graffiti.
Its a shame really
