Default new to the ford club

hi all i bought a 2002 ford focus st170 last week from a dealer, i put it on a diagnostics machine today and the code p1518 came up, i looked on the dash and there was no light on so took it out and the dealer must have took the bulb out so obviously when i put a bulb in the engine managment light stays on, can anyone help with this as i have just bought the car and dont want to fork out more money

If it's come from a dealer it'll have a warranty. Take it back!

I think that all used cars from dealers have to be sold with a 3 month warranty. Get them to sort it out.

i have contacted the dealer today he said that all the lights were working fine on the dashboard and there was no bulbs missing so it is my word against his

Thanks mjonathan I will probably cock it up but will have a go, can't believe the dealer had the cheek to sell it like that an then lie by saying all the bulbs were in the dash
