Default Inlet temps...

What sort of inlet manifold temps are people seeing from various specs?

Im running 12psi from a T3 (48/55) through a radtec front mount ic. Sitting around 20c on cruise and only rising slightly when hard on boost to 25c max.

Sitting idling for ages they rise right up to 55c+

The reason i ask is im trying to set up my inlet temp compensation table in MS, as the car runs poorly when the temps are in the 50s.

Those temps are spot on Rog, you'll find in the summer the on boost temps are a little higher.
Idle temps will rise right up if your sitting for a long time, does it start running lean and hunting?

Yeah only after a heat soaked hot start... When the inlet temps r in the 50s

What sort of inlet temp will risk det, a 10c rise over norm or 20 etc?

Try these settings for ASE and MAT Correction, worked spot on for me.

You'll never see ACT/MAT's over about 40 degrees with that IC even when running 30psi (I run the same one) so det through high intake temps is not a worry, but IMO anything over 60 degrees (when driving) and I would have the timing being pulled back progressively... But it shouldnt ever really happen, certainly not in the UK! lol

Lovely job, i'll give that a go at the weekend...
Good to know that if 40c's safe ive got plenty of a safety margin temp wise.

Cheers m8
