Default 24v cossie sierra major issues

Hi all,
Had a major sounding issue with the motor today, it just suddenly lost all power and then died, turned and turned and it eventually fired ran like a sack of crap wouldnt idle and was making an awful rattling noise. I had a problem a week and a half ago when it completely over heated and wouldnt run, turned out to be a major oil leak from the chain tensioner seal and my header tank lid not venting properly and it burst a water hose due to the excess pressure. Once we sorted the leaks filled it back up with oil it ran like a dream again, until today, at first it was almost the same symptoms as then, oil level was spot on and temp was normal. Now I'm stumped, could it have something to do with the tensioner, maybe the timing has slipped a tooth, so I decided to strip the inlet off and the driver side cam cover hoping to find something glaringly obvious wrong but everything seems to be intact, there are filings all around the inside of the cover around the chain.

Does anyone have any clue? Are there any common things to lOok for? As this is becoming a bit of a saga now

Any help would be greatly apprieciated, or if anyone is in the Norwich area that could cast an experienced eye over it and give me a hand will be payed with tea and biscuits and possibly some beer token haha

Regards Matt
