A long lost friend
The missus was sorting through some of my Mums old photos ( she died 4 years ago) & came across this. Didnt know that any photos of my early cars were ever taken let alone survived. No idea who took it but its strange that the car has no front bumper, maybe it was away being refurbished .
Sold it for a massive £225 a lot of dosh back then.
Its a 1957 TR3 in Red a fast car for a youngster back then. I had a TR2 (long door) before it, an error in the orginal design meant you could not open the door when parked next to a curb a short door version quickly appeared
. If only applies to this one as its hens teeth. It was a shocking Canary Yellow.
Can i please go back to 1965 with what i know now
.

The TR2 struggled to indicate 100mph, however the car in the pic reached an indicated 106mph
it felt very very fast

fantastic car pulled very smoothly from 300 rpm but the clutch got very heavy in traffic it's the only car I regret selling.

Lovely cars especially the capri, but it looks like a 1.6/2.0 laser too me same as mine! Who would have thought that the Cossie would end up with 850+hp!
