Default Fuel swirl pot question

i have the following fuel swirl pot, and currently in the car, but going to move the pump and swirl pot under boot floor

my question, can i mount this upside down?

or do i need to purchase one thats built to bolt to a boot floor?

I've mounted a very similar one upside down, I don't see why you couldn't. as long as if you are gravity feeding it, the gravity feed can supply enough fuel for you're horsepower/pump.

I wouldnt mount it upside down. Just buy one that is designed for that. It would probably still work ok...but is the mounting plate strong enough to hold the weight of fuel hanging from it and bouncing about in a car ?

it's quite sturdy

but, i'm thinking i might just use some threaded bar and mount correct way up, to not to worry about and cheaper than buying a new one
