Default 3 DR Cossie Engine Noise

Hi
Can't believe what a fool I have just been, have been changing the cam belt on my 3dr cossie and didn't realise the tensioner was not done up properly and on start up the cam belt come off. On re-assembly the engine appears to be running fine but there is a loud tapping noise under the cam cover. Any suggestions please.

Bend Valves!
You're going to have to take the head off to check properly, you could do a compression test to give you an idea.

You dont use the grove on the crank pully you use the peg nearest to it, if you use the grove in the crank pully it will tap, but if your lucky it wont have done any harm,

Head will need coming off, no doubt about it even at idle you won't get away with having it throw the belt off.

I'm very surprised you got away with that.
I wouldn't be that lucky.
