My Escos has the reg C6 SSY which I quite like
.
Just looked on Newreg.co.uk and C8 SSY is up for £5575
Does that make my plate worth similar?
Anyone fancy sharing what plate you have on your Cossies and what you paid for them?
Pic of mine:

I have a few more jobs I want to do on my Escos, first of which is to change the plate to one without the Euro flag, also make it physically shorter to suit the 5 digit reg. Just plain font, and maybe a black border like the current one.
Who's best for that these days? Is there usually a plate making company at Central Day?
Anyone know anywhere I can get a black Ford badge for the grill rather than the Blue oval? And finally, should I bin off the inner Morette lights? Think that would look better IMHO, what do you reckon?

I HATE this phrase but it's the only thing that it really does ring true for being "it's only worth what some ones willing to pay for it".
So yes it is worth £5500 but no it's not,it's only worth about £500.
All depends upon what it means to someone.
I've got one now, k10 jcn valued at £500,but who's actually going to buy it?
I put j19 hll on regtransfers about 6 years ago and they valued it at £950 (????),never had one query.
Purely horses for courses.
I was told my Beemer plate of M3 evj was worth £3000 the other day.
Can't see it myself.

On the subject though the dateless reg's are always worth a bit, things like 699xyj etc or names of people.
Usually xxx 1 or 1 xxx (x being whatever) are big bucks.
Stunning escos btw, love it in red with black wheels, perfect colour combo.

My plate which I purchased in 2005, paid an obscene amout of money for it but i wanted it so I took out a loan to buy it
suffice to say the Mrs had the right hump with me when she twigged I'd bought it and how much it cost

C8SSY is at £5575 because it's CASSY not COSSY
On a related note, I saw a post on another site quoting an article in The Times which said HM Gov are going to relax the spacing legality on plates allowing plates to read as words, still with the font limited tho.
Can't find the link anymore.
Perhaps DVLA may be able to up their prices for reg no's that read words and names now.
NO this not an April 1st article either.
