If I do need a pedal mod what parts do I need? Mk5/6 clutch pedal and White (larger) quadrant which I need to cut 10 teeth off .... Do I need any bushes or bolts?
I think you are looking at the same clutch as I have fitted. (not paddle)
You need a mk6 clutch pedal.
one of these http://extremesportsproducts.com/ind...d&productId=17
(plastic one will just break at the worst time
)
and then have a read through this thread. (pictures part the way down to show where the spring goes)

Are there any real advantages of fitting the helix clutch over a luk clutch, as only going to be running about 170 bhp?
Chopshop85 : yh not paddle clutch, whats the clutch like? Is it heavy?

Well the Helix road clutch is good for 210Ft Lbs IIRC, so It can handle more power than a std clutch.
It is heavier and has a bit more vicious biting point.
When my car made 165bhp on the dyno the std clutch started to slip at peak torque which is why I upgraded.
