gearbox removal questoin cossie saph 4x4
come on peeps whats the best way to go about removing a cossie 4x4 gearbox im sure nuff of you have your best ways of going about it and i wanna/need to here it respect goes out to everyone that can help me
Get the car up on axle stands the higher the better!
Remove - Exhaust - front prop - gear lever - starter motor
disconnect - rear prop - wiring to box - clutch cable
Unbolt front arb from chasis so it can be lowered
Unbolt box from engine
Unbolt rear g/box to chasis mount
Pull box out
I may have forgoten something but that is about it from memory

Thanks for the step by step guide, will be giving it a try this spring. To be honest i will look, point and comment while my dad does it since my back is lousy.

you fogot the worse job ov all removing the center console and the fukin roll pin
god i hate that bit
even worse on a ecoz with all the mountans of fukking alarm shit that fitters tend to hide under there

All part of the 'remove gear lever' bit mate but i know what you mean

the reason for removal is to fit a new clutch also got a brandnew b&m shifter is it just a case of unbolting 1 and fitting the new 1 or is there anything to watch out for ie can you do it wrong (b&m not clutch)

The problem with those things it that they come in one piece so you have to put them on the box and then get the box back in with the complete lever still attached! Not imposible but a pain 
My box was always in and out with complete lever attached, in fact I didn't know you schould do that differently :-/
