Default Fucking fords!!!

Well my saph cossy has been sat on my drive for 9 months whilst i was waiting to get my licence back.
Got it back on the 15th and i have had to be tow'd home twice already!
First of the diff shat its self, So i fitted a recon one today and went for a blast to test it out and now the battery went dead and i lost all power...
I noticed i have no battery light on the dash does that mean its the blue wire on the alternator???
Cheers for your help
Danny

Could be the alternator itself or either of the wires on the alternator. Earth the blue wire out and if the light comes on that's fine, then test that there's the same power at the alternator that's in the battery if there is then it's the alternator.

Not really big major things tbh.The worst thing you can do is leave a car standing for long periods of time.

Not major problems tbh! If its been sitting that long expect problems from a 20+ year old car thats probably had a hard life!

Test what your getting at the battery to see if the altenator is putting enough power out!

I know how u feel, drove home car smelt rich, (2nd day of driving it since the engine build) done half a tank on a ten mile journey due to a split fuel line just where it comes out the fuel tank, must of gone brittle from being sat up, lucky it didnt catch fire!......was v-power too

Well all have these problems, makes owning an old car more fun!

We'd all love a hassle free car but then we'd soon get bored!

Thats true mate! just put the car in the air on the drive and fixed the problem,
The car decided the return pipe would split and return all my fuel back to the road instead of the tank
