Default How much power can a T34 make?

Just wondering, while I am due to collect my T34 soon. Car spec will be T34, RS500 IC, Mongoose, Greens, WRC gasket, Samco, -31, 3-Bar, ported head, chip, going for 350 ish I guess for the moment...

...But next year when I have some money again, I'm wondering what the next step is and where I can go with the T34?

what kind of build are you going for? the T34 in the correct spec would do 400hp

I'm going for whatever I can without any engine work, if you get my drift.

If you dont want to do any engine work then you are limited in what you can do as you havnt said many details , I see you have a ported head? where did you get this done or was it on the car when you bought it?

so the bottom is standard 200 block with standard pistons. If this is the case then a VERY good conversion is light blues on standard comp running around 28psi to give you a very healthy 360hp

Yeah I had the head ported & WRC gasket fitted after my cambelt snapped

And why light blues? I thought greens were the way to go??

you might be getting confused with the 'dark blues' found on standard 4x4's im on about motorsport 'light blues' otherwise known as 400's , these are between greys and greens and are a really good injector!

are they brand new?? make sure you have them flow tested before you put them in

not many places do 'off the shelf' chips for lights blues so you might be better off having a live map as you have a ported head this is probably a better option anyway.

speak to a couple of the tuners on here about mapping and im sure they will sort you out a fast cossie

Why do I need to get them flow tested?

I run this spec

Standard Engine running standard cams and 205 block.
WRC head gasket
Greys
3 Bar
Forge RS500 intercooler
Custom Ramair filter
-31
T34 .63 custom Turbo
Mongoose
Fully mapped by Karl Norris-Spikes 30psi and holds 28psi to limiter

It is producing a good 360-370BHP and that is without pushing the engine too much

Go for Greys mate

Wow yes I like the sound of 360-370 hosses

My spec is/will be the same kit except I will be needing Greys and Ramair filter. Is the Ramair filter necessary? And what is custom about your one?

i would go greys you would get aprox 400bhp with 28psi held if the turbo would make it on a ported head i had the same spec and was estimated at apx 400bhp with very similar tourque figure due to the 35psi boost spike call stu at M.S.D he will put you right

The filter was speced by Karl to suit the turbo

Like Gus has said, with your ported head you will see a bit more closer to the 400 mark

dont go for greys they are old hat. im running light blues on a 400 bhp engine mapped by ahmed 6 years ago works perfect better fuel consumption than greys and no need for closed loop {more expense}. how much are the light blues going for as mine are for sale at the right price so is the chip and pectel board and 3 bar. i know my injecters are spot on as they have been cleaned and tested 3 times in 6 years

Closed loop:
https://passionford.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=95284

This is a conversion only us supply and the same results can be had up to 750cc per cylinder at present. 1000cc being tested soon.

Theres a LOT more posts knocking about PF all about it, including the technicalities

Phone him and ask bout Tazs cossie he built it up it made something like 447bhp on a t34 with .63 housing and 75 shot. I dont ave the print out no more cos i sold the car to get a 4x4.
I just wanted to prove that a t34 can make big power it just needs a boost
