My friends has a 1.2 clio, on a 02 plate. its low mileage. its had a problem for a few years now she tells me. It keeps filling the air filter box with engine oil.

Its been to a couple of garages now and still not fixed. Renualt say they have never heard of this problem before.

Its sounds to me a blocked oil breather, building presure up, but the breather is clear, no blockage.

So anyone any ideas? i haven`t a clue on renualt engines.

Breathing hard? Over filled with oil?

Isn't there a breather hose which goes to the air box on Clios?

 

Yes the breather hose goes to air box, thats how the oil is getting into the airfilter box. Nope defo not over filled with oil.
