I have replaced mine twice over the past few years I think it was about £15 and they always seem to split and crack, the trouble is that they are new old stock but the rubber is still 20 odd years old and not so supple and dont last that long.

I have got some black silicone left over from when I done the kitchen, it's used for sealing joints on Bushboard work tops I don't know what it is made from but you use white spirit rather than water to smooth it of, so I'm hoping it will be petroleum resistant.
That will do for now just to stop water getting in and rotting the inner wing, I will mask off and form a bead over the old rubber seal
