Insured mine and the wife's car this year through Admiral Multicar. No other insurance company would cover her on my car, and we saved a total of nearly £300 as opposed to insuring seperatly.

Paul @ Need2Insure took my details, then someone else from N2I called me back a few days after that, took a LOT more details etc.. then later that day phoned back to quote me a figure wildly over what I managed to find after spending 5 minutes firing my details into a comparison site.

I was really quite disappointed after all the good reports that I'd read about on here and would have much rather given my cash to someone like that rather than one of the big companies who bid for business on a comparison site.

Cheers,
Grant

been insured with paul@needtoinsure for about 10 years now and he's beat all quotes for me or there about matched them, seems some can always do better than others for certain people for some reason

Saff Ghia 4x4 on a classic policy with no mileage limit (valued @ £2,500), was £171 last year, now down to £154 and have added a 1953 Ford Pop to that for no extra premium, valued @ £1,500 until it is roadworthy.

Mine changed this year from £980 to £1040 (traders policy) but tbh he said he was calling people with the same policy with 100-200% increase it was only because i was in a low risk post code it stayed about the same even tho effectively i had increased the discount of my NCB it still increased.

Worth a go.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you mate, but he was hundreds of pounds off the mark for me... I live in a low risk area and not trying to insure anything spectacular either.

Cheers,
Grant

was the best quote for the fiesta

BUT the additional extras bumped the price up by another £100

still cheaper than i was getting quotes for elsewhere mind, but £460 would have been great from £700 if they didn't add all the extras like recovery and stuff to the premium

if the mondeo is going to be hefty i'll just leave it parked up, fuck paying a grand for that to only drive it 400 miles last year

I was the same mate. My renewal was Admiral who always list the car as standard when they've been notified of mods. Idiots!

Anyway, quotes I got were approx:
*Admiral renewal- £750 (yet quoted on their site at £496 same details as renewal notice)
*N2I- £1040
*Adrian Flux- £616 with breakdown & nil excess
*Greenlight- £599
*Boncaster- declined cover
*Brentacre- £551 with breakdown.

All 10k miles, 2 non fault claims, 4years NCD and parked on street in NE24 postcode which is band D iirc.
Brentacre and Greenlight were like for like cover on mods and £250 excess so looks like Brentacre will be getting my business.
