Default Transit vs transit connect mpg

As above, lwb high top connect TDCI vs normal transit swab low roof, is there a big difference in mpg, mainly mway miles.

Been a few years since I've had a transit, can't remember the difference.

Thanks.

My 10 plate (2.2) 280 SWB low roof Transit does 34mpg mixed miles, half loaded.
Mates Connect doing same journeys gets similar.

Connects eat front tyres.

I've done 43,000 on the original front tyres, due for new next week, whereas my mate doing the same job in an 11 plate Connect has just had new front tyres at 20,000. His is SWB normal roof.
