Hello all , i have been trying to remove the fuel pump from my fuel tank this afternoon but with no luck ... i have got access to the pump unit and the locking ring off .Its just when you pull the top part of the body out you have 2 pipes that conect to the pump body and sender unit . Thats the bit i can not get out ... is there 2 tabs i push or tun it a certain amount or what ... ? I didnt want to give it a hard tug in case i broke the pump ..

I know its different depending on the years ...

Oh and as well i broke the return pipe coupler but have got a new one on its way . Where does the other end attach to ?

you need to twist the swirl pot anti clock wise, then the whole white pot comes out, then two torque screws hold it in place, it will be stiff?

 

where would these torx screws be located on the top of the swirl pot , or on the base as on the bottom on the tank like holding brackets down ?

no mate where the two fuel pipes meet on top of the pump, two black screws on the top, twist the whole lot out first, float and all, comes out in one, have a look at my build thread, {focused on track zetec turbo} and see the picks, if its the same
