has anyone ever bothered to draw a model of a yb engine in solidworks?

Well no but you can find such tutorials on internet so you just have to follow the steps. Never bothered doing it myself tho.

started doing one in Inventor but ive only done the head, cams, valves and cam cover so far

il tidy it up a bit when i get a chance and post it on here, i need a proper dimensioned drawing of a YB to get it all lookin right as at the moment its just an engine from memory with a cossie cam cover on it!

i looked for ages cos i couldnt be bothered to do it myself, its easy to get it to look roughly right but getting it to actually look right will take ages. I havent used solidworks but its taken a while on inventor because ive made it work like an engine, so if i rotate the crank the cams rotate and the valves open and close etc

Not quite a space frame but I did this in Solidworks using 3D sketching



Took me far too long

Would you use 3D sketching for a space frame or build it as an assembly from individual parts ?
