how to tell if i have a 3 bar map, fuel pressure query

id like to know if i can tell if i have a 3 bar map sensor on my car,how will i check,
its a series 1 rs turbo efi ofab
also what fuel pressure should i be running on beiges 1.8zvh
i know it will need setting up though its not on the road at present and keeps black fouling plugs so id like to get it something like so i can get it mot'd then setup cheers guys
also im led to beleive i have a cosworth fuel pressure reg onmy efi rail,how will i know?

thanks for the reply,
i have dug out my engine work receipt from years ago when i was hopeless and knew nothing,it doesnt state a map sensor but a used cosworth fpr on the receipt
also a phase 2 chip from msd and new beige injectors
will this chip be suffice for my 1.8 zvh? still on beiges

i plan on running it and getting it setup by my local tuner then use it mildly then get it on my recovery truck and geetting it down to yourselves to be setup with a new chip,can you rewrite my current chip and set it up or will i need a new chip, ive established its a 2.5 bar map sensor now thanks

rolls ran his XR2 Turbo with a 1.8 ZVH on a standard CVH chip for quite a while without it blowing up so it should get the car running. might need a dodgy MOT to get it past emissions mind.
dont go driving it silly just get it up to MSD and get the chip re-mapped.
IIRC those EEC-IV chips are pretty expensive so its agood job they can be edited, not the 10p eeproms that go into cossie ECUs.
i once broke a brand new MSD EEC-IV chip by not following the instructions and plugging it in upside down, felt proper guilty when stu did me another for free as i found out the cost of the hardware was almost 100quid
dont go driving it silly just get it up to MSD and get the chip re-mapped.

what part number should the 3 bar be? I have a black one which I was told by a reliable source that it is a 3 bar (it is a genuine MM)
