hi i need to know how much a job will cost me on my van i want a timing belt and fuel pump change does anyone know roughly how much ill be looking to pay i have a 1.8d escort mk6 van on a t reg cheers

 

I had my belts done cost me Ł100 for them both. Thats with me dbuying them myself.

I reckon you'd be looking at Ł200-50 at a guess

 

is that for timing belt and diesel pump aswell and labour

 

Id say so depends on the garage. Apparently on the escort van belts and pump can be a pain to do

 

yh iv also heard that the thing wrong is i have a leak from my diesel pump not a major one only when i boot it a little i went to see if i could get a gasket for the pump but was told i cant get 1 for it

 

i also paid 100 for my belts to be fitted with tentioners
fuel pump should be a extra 100-200 and thats with you suplying parts

 

Where abouts is the pump leaking?

I had the front seal replaced with the pump still in situ when I had my old escort td

 

I would charge 150 plus parts

 

all i can see is what looks like a spring its coming out from there and increases when more revs there is i only payed 150 for the van about a year ago so had a touch really no paper work tho so gona get some for it to be safe and easyer to sell i know these go for about Ł800-Ł1000 with tax and mot so should have a earner its a really nice one aswell but just a few little things thats gone wrong with it
