Took my car there for a brake conversion (amongst other things) and it failed the MOT the week after on a twisted brake hose. I've heard a few other bad stories but also some good ones.

Saying that, it was a few years ago when they were struggling for staff so might have been the "trainee" doing it and not Tony or a proper mechanic, but I'll not be going back.

Not to mention the absolute BODGE job they did making the Puma Warren eventually bought:

I am away to book my Fiesta ST in for some work with them. All the way through the process of dealing with them they have been very professional with me and have tailored a package for my car that incorporates the modifications I already have.

I have also heard some bad stuff about them but I will give them the chance. I will also report back with how they are with me workmanship etc.

seen as your in rotherham, why not try
G R Performance for a map?? or other work...

he isnt WELL KNOWN in the ford world.. but he did a bloody good job on mine...
most of his time is taken up with TIMEATTACK builds and mapping but he is a man behind the lines so to speak... so his name is not "OUT THERE"

top guy called GAZ, can put you intouch with him if you want,
his website is
www.G-Rperformance.co.uk

I've not heard any horror stories about ma developments

I think it depends on the customer too and what nick the car was into start with

But as above there is places that shouldn't be open as I found out once and I won't do it again

Stick with well known company's and travel for the best reputation

I agree about travelling for the best. If you are happy then you will go back aswell. Being up in Aberdeen, we don't exactly have an adundance of tuners. And Sitech were too expensive for what I wanted. So a trip to Englandshire it is lol.

Over on the rsoc forum they are nicknamed pumagreed
Knopw a few people who have had work done there and the only reports i've had are over priced, poor quality work....they have a fancy website etc and all looks professional enough to be fair and i'm sure they must churn out some good work as they've been going a while, but tbh i'd avoid them as there are others out there with better reputations that i'd use! Hear better reports about the names mentioned above, jamsport etc and going by who the mk1rs boys use i'd give pete at 'demonperformance centre' a call as he has a mk2 rs now and would be reasonably close to you i think

Going by what I've read, I'd not go to them either. Sure you mainly hear about a company's bad jobs rather than all the good jobs, but there seem to be quite a few problems and not totally happy customers that have been there.

Cheers,
Grant

I'm based in London and travelled all the way up to Blackpool in my lowly 1.8 Focus to have James and Kenny @ MSD map it. They were quite a bit cheaper as well for the actual mapping work and as usual top service.

You wont go wrong with garry mate, i know he's not big inthe ford scene just yet but most cars never leave his place without double the power they went in with lol.
He said you'd been down,
For anyone thats curious, garry can take on anythig from general sevicing to a full time attack car build and prep, he's just finished a scooby that near on 700 bhp
