Default Quick question, axle stands under front roll bar mounts?

As title really,on a series 2 rs turbo, if not where is a good place, will be on the stands for a week,

Yeah ive done it. Better off putting them inside the sill with a length of wood first

Mine usually is supported under the chassis rails front and back...

Do it just where the door starts, put blocks of wood between stand and car first tho!

Did you not read that thread on the guy working on his escort cosworth in his garage
They found him a couple of days later with the car sitting on his chest coz he used breeze blocks as stands

So really a simple thing like this should not be taken lightly

Bit harsh though. He could be a brilliant mechanic but he's not a monocoque engineer so he was asking if it was ok. Makes sense to ask cause they aren't a weight bearing point, but they can take it.

Better to ask as opposed to doing it and it being wrong. Then he mite end up like the EsCos guy, and all cos he didn't ask.
