Default 6 degree beam reversing problems!!!!

When fiiting a 6 degree beam, will you have problems with reversing the car afterwards? The wheels seems to loose the lining, than would become straight again once you drive forward. Any help???

I think your geometry(spelling) is out somewhere. it would be very difficult to get one correct by looking at pics.

I took some pics with my mobile so they are not that good quality but you can see clearly how the wheels bend when reversing the car. Also some pics of the BMW M3 diff fitted in the sierra. http://s799.photobucket.com/albums/y...degree%20beam/

What do you mean with wheels bending? Does the camber or the toe change when reversing?

Even if the geometry is not OK, the angle of the wheels should not change. That can only happen when there is play somewhere or when something is bending. Is the inner joint the only one that is adjustable? From the pics it looks like you can only adjust camber and not toe.

As in the pics you can only adjust the inner joint therefore the camber. Yes when you reverse the car the camber changes and comes straight once you drive forward.

After throughly going through your photos the only thing I can say is for your own safety I'd put that beam in the skip, before you kill yourself.

We did stayed under it when moving ( on a ramp) but nothing looks moving at the time... any way the car handles really well with the conversion. Will continue to investigate...
