same with a cvh head on

10:1 as std if i recall correctly, and about 8.3:1 with a CVH head on mate......both figures from the top of my head as I havent seen the calcs in ages!

with the cvh head on would that compression ratio be safe to run
with a turbo and if so what pressure could i run safely

BTTT for RichM, he will be able to help!

Id say personally, that with a cvh head, the 1.8 zetec bottom end should give ~ 8.3:1, and IMO that should be fine to run as is, upto say 1bar boost.

I know MattSab and Huw (mungus), both ran these at some stage, no idea what they use now! I believe Matt reported he was having det problems at one stage, whether or not this was directly CR related or not i dont know.

Hopefully someone like Rich can offer some advice!.

ok cheers for that,if i do change the engine i would hav only been
using it with about 10psi of boost so would that be safe
