Default Looking at a Mk3 1.8LX tomorrow

Hello folks,
I am looking to possibly buy an '02 plate 1.8 LX Estate and I was wondering if I could be cheeky and ask for some advice please.
Is there anything I should be made aware of?
I had a quick look tonight in dark drizzle and nothing seems too alarming at present.
The engine didn't exactly start on the button but required a couple of cranks to start from cold. Is this normal? I'm used to an old BMW which always fired on the first click.

Thanks for any help,

Smiler.

Not bought. Found out through other sites that there was a problem with butterfly plates in the inlet tract coming loose on these early cars.
