Default mondeo power boost valve

got my hands on a power boost valve with full fitting kit, now im going to fit it this weekend is there any real difference in acceleration and power levels , whats the safest pressure to set it at and is there any hidden gremlins after fitting it that will need to be tweeked. cheers

you will gain zero power from it. all it is, is an adjustable fuel pressure regulator its completley unnecesary and they have also been known to burst causing the engine bay to set on fire, my advice dont fit it

set it up at full power but remember to fasten your seatbelt and bring a spare pair of pants.

they generally get slated over in bmw world for being linked to engine fires. ive no person experience of that though.

It's not a waste. I've run one on prev cars. You won't get a gain in power, but the main benefit if these is the chafing pressure rate. It will create the set pressure 1.7 times faster (iirc) than the standard one. You WILL notice improved throttle response from it if you set it up correctly.

Hmm, set to standard vehicle specs....and maybe try 1/4 of a turn higher from there.

should be ok to fit mate has used them for years on his cars As far as I know it boosts the fuel rail pressure so you get a bit more squirt for each injector opening but I think your car has adaptive fueling as part of the ecu setup which will try an negate the extra fueling it detects and dial it out.
